At the same time, TM allows you to approach development more flexibly and change the vector of development of the software product on the go. TM is better suited for the implementation of startups when you act in conditions of complete uncertainty and test hypotheses. The main reasons for the customer ‘s fear of working on TM are as follows:

1. The exact cost of development is unknown

It’s not so. Indeed, you will not receive the exact cost, but you will usually be provided with a fork of terms by which you will be able to estimate the maximum financial costs. As a rule, TM works much more profitable for the customer, since a lot of unforeseen risks are laid in the Fixed Price. And according to TM, you pay only for the time that is actually spent.

2. How do I know that the team worked the exact number of hours that I’m paying for?

Before the start of the sprint, the team splits large tasks into small subtasks and an approximate estimate of labor costs is made for each of them. This is all agreed with the customer before the start. Thus, the customer understands how much tasks should be completed at the end of the sprint, the volume may be exceeded, this often happens because the team always has to evaluate tasks with a time margin in order to lay down the risks of delays. Our approach is based on the following principles: we need to exceed the customer’s expectations, he will be pleased to pay for the sprint at the same price, and get more than planned, and it follows that the whole product will be developed faster and at lesser cost. But there are also rare cases when the tasks taken for the sprint do not have time to implement. In this case, it is necessary to warn the customer in advance and explain the reason why the task was incorrectly evaluated.
